We are always eager to obtain honest input from a diverse group of users, especially those with a professional understanding of ergonomics and physical well-being. Thus, we contacted Candace Grant, a registered massage therapist and posture therapist based in Ontario, Canada, to test drive our Rotary Mouse, and she duly agreed. She has over 27 years of experience and specializes in the Egoscue Method – a posture correction approach that helps people move better, recover faster, and live pain-free. Her expertise in human body mechanics and injury prevention makes her insights particularly valuable to us in improving our work.
In her career, Candace offers a holistic approach that includes hands-on therapy with posture exercises and ergonomic adjustments. This is perfect for us to understand how ergonomic products like our rotary mouse can make a difference in daily lives. When she’s not treating clients, she educates on posture therapy programs and spreads awareness about the importance of ergonomics in preventing long-term postural stress.
Candace provided us with her honest assessment of the Rotary Mouse, and we believe that transparent feedback is crucial for continuous improvement. Her detailed observations are critical in our ongoing efforts to refine the Rotary Mouse experience, especially from the point of view of an ergonomist like her. She even went further by introducing our mouse to her clients to obtain their feedback.
Unboxing and First Impression
Candace found the Rotary Mouse to be comfortable to use and mentioned the ease of access and how natural it felt on her hand and fingers. This is exactly what we’re aiming for to help avoid stress and strain.

However, she found that locating the USB receiver was rather difficult, which led to a minor breakage. She also suggested that a manual or instructions regarding the USB receiver’s location would be beneficial. Her thoughts are duly noted and have since been resolved.
On a positive side, Candace confirmed that the horizontal scroll wheel friction felt appropriate and she agreed to recommend the Rotary Mouse to her professional and personal networks. What strikes us the most is that she wants to keep using our mouse, beyond the testing phase.
Suggestions for Improvement
While Candace’s overall experience was positive, she did suggest a few improvements. She recommended having different sizes for different hand sizes. This would make the mouse more versatile and comfortable for a wider range of users, including those with specific ergonomic needs.
What We Learned
Candace’s feedback is super valuable to us. It reinforces that we’re on the right track in producing a fast and yet comfortable mouse, especially for those who need ergonomic solutions. And it gives us clear areas to improve, such as making sure that the USB wireless receiver is easy to find and access, and thinking about different sizes. It’s all part of the journey to make the Rotary Mouse the best it can be!
