We recently received honest feedback from one of our early testers for the Rotary Mouse – Ashlee C. She was introduced to our mouse by her posture therapist, who had tested it herself and believed it could help with her scrolling-related strain. For privacy reason, we cannot reveal her full name.
Ashlee currently uses a Logitech mouse and does experience issues with scrolling. She mentioned she developed finger tendinitis from excessive use, which is a common health issue caused by excessive use of the computer mouse. She shared some positive thoughts after trying our rotary mouse. She found it highly functional and surprisingly natural to use. The rotary scrolling motion felt comfortable, placing the hand in a more natural position overall. She emphasized the comfortable, natural feel when using the unique wheel and called it “very functional” on a couple of occasions.
However, Ashlee was honest about one key area for improvement. The size of the mouse was too big for her hand. She suggested it would be great to offer 2 or 3 different sizes to better accommodate various hand shapes. We concur that the size of our current pre-production unit is above average, and we are working on producing a few sizes to fit all hands. She wasn’t entirely sure about the horizontal scroll wheel tension (just “I’m not sure”), but no major complaints there.
When asked about pricing, she’d be willing to pay less than $30. Nonetheless, she also said she’d happily recommend it to friends, colleagues, or family.
We are absolutely grateful to Ashlee for her honest and detailed input, and it really helps us to continue to reiterate and optimize our mouse. We’re already exploring various size options to make the Rotary Mouse fit more people comfortably, especially for those dealing with scroll fatigue or repetitive strain. We shall be sending a personal unit of our Rotary Mouse to Ashlee to further assist her with her tendinitis.
